3 Steps to Measure Success

We are heading into the third week of 2020 and that means we are full speed ahead on going after our dreams and goals. But here's the real question-now that we are full speed ahead, trying to achieve our dreams, how do we make sure that we are accurately tracking progress and measuring success? Well, you're in luck because in today's episode I am going to take you through the three steps that I have gone through to measure that success. These three steps are tried and true so I am confident that this episode will help you take those New Year's goals and resolutions to the next level! Let's dive in!

What are we talking about in this episode?

  • The three steps to measure success so you can stay on the path to succeeding your goals

  • The power of a vision board

  • The importance of writing down your goals

  • The fact that it’s okay for your goals to change and evolve

And so much more!

So what are the three steps?

Number One:

  • Always have both your personal and professional goals and objectives easily accessible to you at all times.

    • It is important to look at them consistently. Daily would be ideal, but if not, weekly!

    • You can have a Google doc just for this. It could also be a sticky note that you have by your computer, or even in your journal!

    • Vision boards can be powerful for this because they are literally a visual manifestation of your dreams.

Number Two:

  • At the bottom of wherever you have your goals documented, have a space to record your wins and failures.

    • Each week you are going to record some of your failures and some of your wins that relate back to the goals and objectives that you have written down at the top of your page. Be SUPER specific with this because it will help you notice patterns when you are looking back.

    • If you have something that is a win or failure outside of those goals, write that down too!

    • At the bottom, I would also encourage you to write down what you’re most proud of for that week.

    • Remember that you don’t have to follow my guidelines to the T. Do whatever works for you!

Number Three:

  • Keep a “Good Job Folder.”

    • This can be in whatever format that you want whether you have a Google Drive folder or a literal folder!

    • Anytime you do something that you are proud of, stick it in that folder! Maybe it is a review from your podcast. Screenshot that and upload it to your drive folder.

    • This is such a good way to check in with yourself when you’re feeling disconnected from your dreams. The “Good Job Folder” is probably the most important step in measuring success, so don’t skip this!

Alright, there you have it. I would love for you to give these three things a try and report back. What worked for you? Or do you have your own method for measuring success?
