If You Don't Do it, Who Will?

This week on the podcast we are going to talk all about the action of doing. Do you ever find yourself in situations where you decide not to do something because you assume someone else will do it? Or maybe you think, “I’ll just do it later.” Don’t worry, I’ve been there too. When I noticed this habit of mine, I decided to become hyper aware. In this episode I’m going to tell you about the exercise I did to become more aware of my actions, and three actionable steps that you can implement today to heighten your awareness as well!

Three things you can start doing to make changes in your life and start taking ownership:

  1. Have awareness

    1. We cannot start to make change if we aren’t even aware that we are opting out. In order to do this I would recommend doing an assessment of yourself. Take a day to notice the decisions you are making. Take notes on your behaviors using your regular notebook or phone.

  2. STOP assuming!

    1. Every time you find yourself assuming that someone else is going to take action, STOP. Assuming is just an excuse for you to not take action.

  3. Immediately take the action

    1. The key word is, immediately. If you don’t do the thing right now, you’re not going to do it.
